Author's note: I wrote this story about Dennis Rodamn becaus ehe was one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball. He was unnoticed because he was on the same roster as
Michael Jordan. I hope you enjoy my story.
How would you feel to be on the same team as Michael Jordan and still be good but go unnoticed? Well ask Dennis Rodman about that. Dennis Rodman was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Don’t believe me? Go to the NBA Hall of Fame and you’ll find his face on a podium. Dennis had won 6 national championships but Michael Jordan hoisted that MVP trophy and overlooked every player in the NBA. Dennis still put up all star numbers though. Any team would have been lucky to have him in clutch situations. In those clutch situations he could hit anything and seemed invincible, but he had help.
He took drugs and some people think he doesn’t deserve to be named in the Hall of Fame. They say he was not good enough and never did anything to help his team. People who believe in him have the Michael Jordan argument. In my opinion, Dennis Rodman was one of the best players to play the game and his face should be in the NBA Hall of Fame, but that is my opinion and other people can have their opinions.
Rodman was known for his colorful hair. He died it many different colors. He even died it green once. He played for 5 teams. The Detroit Pistons, the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks, and of course, the Chicago Bulls. Dennis was a six foot six monster and was the rebounding champion seven times in his career. He was also an all star two times. He was known for his defense as well. He was a monster on defense winning a All Defensive First Team award. That means he was one of the best 5 people on defense in the whole NBA. He was all NBA All Third Team, too. That means that he was in the top fifteen players in the NBA.
When Dennis was done playing basketball, he became a wrestler. He was pretty good but says that he never liked it as much as his love for the game that is basketball. He was named Dennis Rodman while wrestling. Not much but it as a name none the less. Dennis was the worst wrestler in the league.
Dennis Rodman was one of the best to play the game. Some don’t think that he wouldn’t have been as good without the drugs but I don’t think so. I don’t know why he took drugs but it really is none of my business. What I’m getting at is that Dennis shouldn’t be under looked and I think that he deserves to be a Hall of Famer.
